The Little Pomegranate - Sabina Skirt
Fabric Gifted from Sew Me Sunshine Shop
Lady McElroy - Symbolic of Cool - Viscose
In this photo I am wearing my Little Pomegranate Sabina Skirt made in Lady McElroy Symbolic of Cool Viscose fabric with my True Bias Marlo Sweater in a black fleece fabric. The buttons on the Marlo Sweater are from Pigeon Wishes.
This is my second Sabina Skirt. I loved the pattern so much and I feel the last on I made is a summer version. I wanted to make a second version of the Sabina Skirt that I could wear in Autumn and Winter. So when Jenny asked me if I would make something for the Sew Me Sunshine Blog I knew exactly what pattern it was going to be and this was fabric that I had been eyeing up from afar for quite a while! I knew it would be perfect for the change of seasons and would be a real statement piece in my wardrobe.
What drew me into this fabric was the colours and the pattern. I really loved the faces on the fabric but also the smaller details like the vases, tigers and small floral touches too. The colour scheme is so beautiful and I knew I would be able to pair the fabric of this skirt with loads of different items in my wardrobe (as seen in the photographs) also I knew it would work with boots and winter shoes for the colder months and also trainers when it is slightly warmer. I am so pleased with this skirt and I can see myself wearing it all year round.

As always the team at Sew Me Sunshine were amazing with their communication. I asked them for photos of sweat shirting fabrics that would match the skirt and they were onto it immediately. I did buy the 'Vintage Rose - Viscose Fleece Backed Jersey' that was recommended to me and I am so pleased with it. I decided to make the Tilly and the Buttons Pearl cardigan and I love this too.
